High School Faculty - Health Science Teacher and Cheer Coach

Teaching the next generation of health care professionals, Jessica Chancellor has played a crucial role in growing and developing the new health science program at China Spring High School. When visiting her classroom/lab, you will find students learning the vital components of health care as they work to prepare for CNA/CCMA programs. Not only has Jessica done a fantastic job in the classroom, but she has spent countless hours working with the CSHS cheerleaders as the varsity cheer coach, where they have achieved many successes this year! 

Middle School Faculty - History Teacher and Softball Coach

While it's her first year in the classroom, Coach Teakell is wise and seasoned beyond her age. She tackles challenges with extreme dedication and passion. It bleeds through everything she does and it hasn't taken long for her to earn the respect of her students and peers. Whether coaching softball or passing along vital information in Texas History class, Kayleigh is doing so with professionalism, efficiency, and enthusiasm. It's an honor to recognize her as the Middle School teacher of the month. 

Intermediate School Faculty - 5th Grade Science Teacher

Macie Hughes has been a wonderful addition to the CSI family. She has a true heart for kids and works tirelessly to promote a learning environment that is innovative and inclusive. Macie has a natural ability to establish meaningful connections with students, colleagues, and parents alike. Her approachable demeanor, empathy, and willingness to listen creates an environment where students feel valued and empowered. Thanks Macie for all you do at CSI.

Elementary School Faculty - 3rd Grade Reading Teacher

 Suzy Wright is everything you want in a teacher: engaging, content rich, calm, and loving! A colleague states, “Suzy is an exceptional teacher that is very dedicated to her students. She is so creative and innovative and I admire her patience and persistence to make each of her students successful!” Thank you Mrs. Wright for serving CSISD students for so many years! 

Primary School Faculty - 1st Grade Teacher

Tara porter consistently surpasses expectations for her students, developing interactive lessons that integrate critical thinking and extension activities. Her targeted small group teaching is consistently excellent and tailored to address the unique requirements of her individual students. She makes a special effort to attend many of her students' extracurricular activities, showing them support beyond the classroom. Her students always have a love of school and learning because of the relationships she builds.

Staff Member - Intermediate Campus Physical Education Paraprofessional

Coach Bayer is the definition of a team player. She always goes above and beyond to help wherever she is needed. She has a unique ability to work with some of our highest needs and highest behavior kids because of her innate ability to build relationships with them. She is truly a one-of-a-kind and we are so lucky to have her on our CSI team.
