China Spring ISD Hosts First Professional Development Conference for Teachers by Teachers

At China Spring ISD we consciously work to provide a quality instructional experience for all students. Annually, the district makes an intentional effort to invest in the professional development of China Spring ISD faculty and staff. We believe investing in the development of our teachers ultimately provides students with better educational experiences.

On Friday, November 10, China Spring ISD is hosting the first district-wide professional development conference. Professional Development for Teachers by Teachers, features 67 breakout sessions tailored to individual educator needs. All breakout sessions are facilitated by China Spring ISD faculty and staff who have volunteered to share information from their various areas of expertise. “This is going to be a fantastic day of professional learning,” exclaims Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Kristen Dutschmann.

Similar to a traditional professional conference, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to attend sessions that are meaningful to them and their professional development as educators. Sessions feature topics ranging from Schoology, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, to Social Emotional Learning and IXL.

“This opportunity is invaluable because the more skills our teachers gain, the better they can hone their craft, ultimately resulting in helping to make sure that students receive the highest level of instruction and best educational experiences possible,” notes Dutshmann. China Spring ISD is excited to offer this opportunity for teachers and the district looks forward to making this an annual event.
