Each month, faculty and staff are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the students at CSISD. These educators are nominated by their campus principals and confirmed by the administration team. Educators are recognized at the School Board meeting and presented with a plaque. China Spring ISD is celebrating our inaugural Special Olympics team. The Special Olympics team offers an inclusive opportunity for students with special needs to participate in competitive sports and showcase their ability. Most importantly, China Spring is a unified district meaning students with special needs have the opportunity to compete alongside students in general education, creating a positive shared experience among our students at the district. The Special Olympics team competed at the regional track and field competition Saturday, April 13.
The district is taking advantage of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) opportunity available through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). China Spring ISD is utilizing TIA to recognize the exemplary work that is already happening and using it as an opportunity to continue developing instructional skills. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Leslie Smith, shared that the district has successfully submitted the TIA application to TEA. For more information about TIA at China Spring ISD, click here.
During the April meeting, the district announced a new program launching in the fall, Champions for China Spring ISD. Designed for educators and residents of China Spring, Champions for China Spring ISD is an opportunity to support the students, parents, educators, and future of our school district. Participants will meet with district leadership and receive a behind-the-scenes look into school finance, school operations, and the many ways China Spring ISD is thriving as a public school district. If you are interested in participating in this new program, visit the Champions for China Spring ISD website for more information.
