China Spring ISD Earns an "A" for Superior Achievement

For two decades, China Spring ISD (CSISD) has earned an “A” for Superior Achievement under the Texas’ FIRST Financial Accountability Rating System. This rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of CSISD financial management and reporting system for over two decades.

China Spring ISD Chief Financial Officer Logan Poteet presented the FIRST Report for the 2023-24 school year to the Board of Trustees during the regular Board meeting on Monday, October 21, 2024.

The Texas Education Agency assigns one of four financial accountability ratings to Texas school districts: A for Superior Achievement, B for Above Standard Achievement, C for Standard Achievement, and F for Substandard Achievement.

The evaluation covers 15 indicators of financial health, including administrative cost ratios, the accuracy of financial information submitted to the state, and the district's ability to meet its financial obligations. The district scored 96 out of 100 (Superior Achievement 90-100).
