China Spring ISD Board of Trustees: January Meeting Summary

The China Spring ISD School Board met on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 6:00 pm. The School Board highlighted January Faculty and Staff Award winners, received an update from China Spring ISD Athletics, and listened to students talk about their experience with the Teaching and Training Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

Each month, faculty and staff are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the students at China Spring ISD. These educators are nominated by their campus principals and confirmed by the administration team. Educators are recognized at the School Board meeting and presented with a plaque. In honor of School Board Appreciation Month, each campus presented handcrafted gifts to the Board members, expressing gratitude for their dedicated service. These elected volunteers play a crucial role in the success of our school district and China Spring ISD is proud to celebrate their work.

Athletic Director Josh Gregory reported that the Golf Booster Club successfully raised $14,000 to purchase a golf simulator. This new equipment will enable our athletes to practice regardless of weather conditions, enhancing their training opportunities.

Additionally, CTE Teaching and Training teacher, Alli Chapman, accompanied by students, shared their experiences within the program. Roughly 30 students are enrolled in the Teaching and Training CTE program, learning about teaching standards and gaining firsthand experience in classrooms at the Pre-Kindergarten, Elementary, and Intermediate campuses. One student remarked, "This experience will be invaluable in shaping my future career in education."
