China Spring ISD Names New Primary Principal

The China Spring ISD Board of Trustees has approved the hiring of Ashlee Duncan as the next principal of China Spring Primary School.

Duncan has 19 years of experience in education, including 12 years in administrative leadership. She started her career as a teacher, working with pre-kindergarten, second-grade, and fourth-grade students before moving into school leadership. Most recently, she served as an assistant principal at Speegleville Elementary. She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas State University and her Master of Education from Concordia University in Austin.

"I am honored to join the China Spring community," said Duncan. "I look forward to working with the talented team of teachers and staff at China Spring Primary to provide a strong foundation and love of learning for our youngest Cougars."

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marc Faulkner led a team of administrators in a thorough search process. The hiring committee sought a student-centered leader with experience in curriculum and instruction, as well as a passion for working with families and supporting student growth.

"We are excited to welcome Mrs. Duncan to China Spring ISD," said Dr. Faulkner. "She brings valuable experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for our primary students."

Duncan will officially begin her role at China Spring ISD on June 17, 2025.
