Dear CSMS Families,
July is here and school starts in just a few weeks! We look forward to seeing our returning students and meeting our new students on the first day of school!
We would like to address a few frequently asked questions that have been coming in to our front office this summer:
Is there a middle school supply list? No. During the first days of school, teachers will let students know what (if any) additional supplies they will need for that class.
Will my student need a clear backpack? No. China Spring ISD has not adopted a backpack policy as of yet.
Do I have to go to in-person registration if I have completed the online registration? Yes. There are several additional documents that need to be signed, and this is done during in-person registration on July 24th (see below).
May I request a schedule change for my child? Yes. After the first day of school, your child may pick up a schedule change request form from the front office. All sections of the form must be completed in order for the request to be considered. Completed schedule change request forms can be turned into the front office. Schedule change requests will only be considered for the first ten days of school.
Here are a few upcoming dates:
July 15, 2024, through July 31, 2024 - New to District Student Registration - by appointment only. Call 254-836-4611 to make an appointment.
July 15, 2024 - Online Registration opens (this date is tentative and subject to change)
July 24, 2024 - In-person Registration - 1:00pm-7:00pm
July 29, 2024 - New Student Orientation - 5:30pm-7:00pm
August 1, 2024 - First Day of School
August 20, 2024 - Meet the Teacher - 6:00pm-7:00pm
We also want to take a moment to notify our families and students of a change coming to the middle school this year. No longer will CSMS be accepting deliveries for students from third parties such as DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, etc. Parents are more than welcome to bring lunch for their child, but CSMS will not accept deliveries from any meal delivery service.
